Hi, it's VDotSecret, and I want to let you know that you are loved, and you are not alone in what you are feeling, thinking, or experiencing when it comes to suicide ideation, anxiety attacks, and depression.
Just like you, I suffered with the overwhelming physical shutdown of my mind slipping away into an anxiety attack, many times I have been alone without the wits to call someone.
I indulged in self-sabotaging behaviors such as alcohol abuse and sexual addiction. I lacked leadership and hope, and I even became relentless in self-sabotaging behavior in my pursuit of rebelling against authority.
Crying uncontrollably, unable to utter comprehensive sentences, muttering pieces and parts of what my emotions could express.
Sleepless nights and pointless days plagued with shame, regret, anger, confusion, abandonment, and fear motivated my self-sabotaging behavior, too. Not knowing I was possessed and motivated by JoyKillers in my head.
My life was full of unhealed pain, resentment, and anger towards my family, the government, police, church, society, and even GOD. I took my anger out on a harassing police officer and ended up derailing the progress and financial development of my life for five years.
After realizing I needed help, I took an adult time-out to heal and learn what was happening to me in my mind and how it was causing me to act and feel. Under observation, a wonderful nurse noticed my very quiet, almost unnoticeable anxiety attacks. During our session, she shared with me a phrase to help me to self-soothe and counterattack my anxiety during a full physical anxiety attack: I AM IN CONTROL!
That affirmation helped me walk forward in healing as I found power in my pursuit of peace of mind and happiness.
Submitting to outpatient, long-term care of an anxiety specialist therapist wasn't easy for them or me. Not only was I defiant, snappy, condescending, and combative in word and nature... I used the excuse, "I can't meditate", and honestly, it was because I didn't want to hear the silence of my own thoughts.
However, my Doctor was amazing! He literally postponed his retirement and slowly helped me understand one thing: I was angry and hurt, and although I had every right to be, continuing in that energy would keep me in trouble.
