Month 1 Purpose & Method

The most important part of this course, outside of completing it, is identifying the purpose and method of your book. If you don't identify the purpose you are teaching and the purpose of your target audience or learner, then there's no purpose for the course.

Now, luckily, you have your book in front of you and are ready to answer the hard questions. You may have to look harder for some of the answers than others, but you should be able to identify the purpose and method of each chapter of your book and arrange a purpose and method chapter outline to convert to course modules.

Take this week to see if there are chapters you want to leave out, combine them into one to simplify the module, or even specify one aspect of the book you want to make into a course.

When you have identified the purpose of your course, you must then declare the method you will use to fulfill this purpose and complete its goals. Write out the method, and name it if it's not already named. Explain the why and how of this method and express how it helps fulfill the overall purpose of the course.
