A person expressing their misunderstanding is valuable because it guides management and trainers on where to start to correct problems by helping everyone get on common ground

How can you be sure every individual on your team is in unison of understanding? How can you ensure you won't have to micromanage every detail in every project step? Allow the weakest member of the team to express their understanding, perspective, and plan of action! In the Country, we say, "Even a broken clock is right two times a day!" which means that everybody has a point. It doesn't hurt to take time out to hear a person, validate their existence, and show genuine concern and appreciation for their contribution to making the meeting eventful. A person expressing their misunderstanding is valuable because it guides management and trainers on where to start to correct problems by helping everyone get on common ground. Up may mean above your head to you, but it may mean in front of someone else. Allow people to express their interpretation, and if you see they need redirecting in their thoughts for clear communication and goal accomplishment, then it is worth clarifying. By beginning with the weakest link or the personnel with the least amount of experience, they will be able to be guided on where they have the right understanding and be able to guide them in the right direction and allow them the opportunity to step up their game before they have the opportunity to slack off or mishandle a project or task. Show them how important their role is and then allow the other members to express what they will do with the work and allow them to explain the importance of what they receive being accurate and what they interpret as their job, and so forth until all miscommunications have been worked out until everyone is clear and comfortable about their position in the mission.
