When people are hurting, they often want to rebel against a system that promises them "safety or security."

They turn to temporary distractions to numb the pain instead of truly feeling it through until they decide they want to feel something else.

They continuously choose thoughts that will promote better feelings.

Yet, the pursuit of numbing and ignoring feelings usually attracts more negative experiences and pain to numb. I know firsthand that living life and ignoring your feelings—those feelings that leads up to emotional outbursts—causes self-neglect.

When people decide to neglect themselves, it is usually out of unhealthy habits stemming from thoughts of unworthiness and unimportance, which result from abandonment or neglect.

You must stop the cycle of abandonment and neglect for yourself.

Especially if you are a caregiver or live a life primarily serving others, self-neglect is a shared mentality among many of you!

You can get in the habit of helping others so much that you have nothing left and nothing more to give to yourself.

Many people take the little precious time they do have for themselves and indulge in activities that may be unhealthy simply because it feels like a "load off the shoulders" or a way to unwind.

The ultimate way of unwinding and relaxing to take the pressure off one’s shoulders is through continual meditation, where you find yourself, peace, care, and healing you need, as well as divine inspiration and direction.

However, it is the one practice that has been massively hidden and aggressively defiled.

The world's powers make it almost impossible for humans to meditate or learn to meditate truly.

Taking inner power is easy when you can convince the minds of the masses that they don’t have any.

Unfortunately, the choice or pursuit of happiness is not taught more than the indulgence of numbing the pain, which is where generational habits and curses come from.

Many of you may come from a long line of alcoholics who made bad decisions that caused the trauma in your life and recovery harder than it should have been

Me too, but we have to take control of the madness and prevent it from causing further damage to our future! At some point, we have to decide we will stop turning into the people who abuse, neglect, abandon, and reject themselves by continuing bad habits.

When people turn to alcohol as their drink of choice, it leads to confusion and depression all around them.

This is why they used to call alcohol spirits.

The majority of testimonies of date rape include alcohol, and child molestation included drunken relatives or the absence of an addicted parent.

Even stories of domestic violence usually involve a form of drug or alcohol addiction.

We need to identify the sources of hedonic happiness that promote distraction, harm, and self-sabotage to avoid overindulging.

When we allow ourselves to become drunk with unhealthy pride, envy, greed, or lustfulness for things that don’t mean us good or that seem to be good but have hard, negative consequences, we can allow our desires to lead us into a world of unfortunate pain and sorrow—a literal hell on earth.

To truly embrace self-love, we must prioritize our well-being and practice self-care.

This includes regular meditation, recognizing our worth, and making choices that support our physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

By doing so, we break the cycle of self-neglect and create a foundation of self-love that allows us to thrive.

Pursuing happiness requires a healthy balance of both hedonic and eudaimonic happiness.

By cultivating this balance, we can overcome pain, break generational curses, and create a life of true joy and purpose.

Embrace your worth, prioritize your well-being, and commit to the journey of self-love and balanced happiness.

Together, we can transform pain into peace, self-neglect into self-care, and fleeting pleasure into lasting fulfillment.
