Generosity, Kindness, and Compassion Daily Lesson
When we go throughout our day, we should embody the generosity, kindness, and compassion that we desire from the world. Let's face it: everyone's life would be better if someone were kinder!
Take an hour to complete this writing lesson, ensuring you focus on your actions towards others when responding to these questions unless otherwise stated.
Describe how you have shown others generosity and in what ways you have been shown generosity in each relationship or situation you find yourself in.
Have you been too generous in certain situations?
How has your over-generous behavior put a strain on you?
Have you taken advantage of another generosity to strain the relationship?
What does balance in generosity look like to you?
What's the action plan for using generosity to help attract happiness, peace, and purpose fulfillment in your life?
Compassion is defined as sympathetic pity for the suffering or misfortune of others. At Victorious Trainings, we don't do pity parties. However, this course is an act of compassion in providing access to healing for those suffering mental oppression and depression from trauma from sexual abuse in their lives. Think about your gifts, possessions, connections, abilities, and resources, and consider the following:
How can you show compassion to yourself to enhance your life and achieve your goals?
How can you show compassion to others by achieving your goals and fulfilling your purpose?
Who or what cause can you show compassion for, and would you commit your life to serving them?
Kindness is being friendly, nice, and considerate to another without cause or provocation on their behalf. Have you ever been in line and been short a few dollars, and the person waiting behind you covered the difference, wanting nothing except to speed up the transaction to get to their destination? This act of kindness was not done for you to get something out of you but to create a more harmonious environment for everyone! You may have taken flattery from the situation or maybe even made a new friend, and if you returned the money, you even cultivated some good karma; however, if you could not pay for your transaction, more time would have been taken from their schedule. You see, the purpose of kindness is to keep the world spinning harmoniously and to allow people to cultivate good energy and friendship. Just five percent of negativity can mess up your day; five percent of positivity can brighten your day!
Consider how acts of kindness can improve your environment and relationships with friends and family:
What free acts of kindness can you show to those you love?
What charitable contributions can you give to show kindness and compassion?
In what ways are people showing kindness to you, and do you show them appreciation?
