Journaling Assignment: Letting Go

It's time to say goodbye to the old you! Let's practice the Phoenix Rising Ceremony to burn away the list of attributes you must let go of! It's important to practice this exercise outside, in a fireproof container that will contain the fire and burn the list without causing harm, and prevent the fire from spreading.

Please drop the list in the fire to allow it to be consumed.

As that list is consumed, declare your affirmations of gratitude for the attributes of the new you!

Do not put your hands, arms, or any part of your body into or near the fire. Please follow instructions and resist any reckless behavior around the fire.

You will soon find out that the attributes you've burned away will not just disappear, but you will learn to master and overcome them as obstacles instead of pain points, and build you into a more well-rounded, compassionate, gentle person.
