Hello, and welcome to this important discussion about the role of healthy self-esteem in building a strong sense of confidence! Many people struggle with feelings of self-doubt and insecurity, and trauma like rape or sexual assault can be particularly devastating, leaving deep emotional scars that can last a lifetime. However, there is hope! With the right tools and support, it is possible to reclaim your self-esteem and rebuild your confidence! Self-esteem is defined as the belief in one's own worth and abilities. It is the foundation upon which confidence is built, and when self-esteem is healthy, it can help one feel secure, capable, and resilient in the face of life's challenges. On the other hand, when self-esteem is low, one may feel inadequate, hopeless, and overwhelmed, which can lead to a vicious cycle of self-doubt and insecurity. So, how can you rebuild your self-esteem after experiencing trauma? First, you can practice positive self-talk and affirmations. Write down positive statements about yourself, and repeat them to yourself every day. Surround yourself with supportive friends and family members, and seek new experiences that challenge you and help you grow. It takes conscious effort and self-discipline. We have to take responsibility in decision-making before we act and speak, and even in what we choose to think about in the moment, and the moments leading up to expected events. Instead of thinking about the past, we can think about the positive things we desire to happen. It’s important to accept the challenge of thinking hopeful proactive positive thoughts of the future, no matter what has happened in the past. We must think of ways to get what we want in the most harmonious ways possible to enjoy the fruits of our labor and the relationships we’ve built based on positivity and harmony. If you’re not dealing with the one that hurt you, please don’t respond to them as if they hurt you. Don’t punish others for things they did not do. This puts out bad vibrations in the universe that will keep you trapped in low vibrational activity and get the lowest vibrational response from those around you. If you think highly and have hopeful thoughts for yourself and the future, you will respond on the highest vibration you know, creating the reality you truly desire. Your self-esteem and love for life are only limited by your awareness of yourself. If you only define yourself by what has happened to you, and the negative experiences you’ve survived, then you are doomed to low and poor self-esteem. If you only think of one thing that is hopeful or makes you unique and happy about yourself continuously, you will build your self-esteem one thought at a time. If you can find more positive things about yourself, you can build your self-esteem through multiple thoughts at many different times. If you find it difficult to think of positive things about yourself, it’s time to learn some new skills and try out different things to discover yourself. Allow yourself to do what you are afraid of as long as it harms no one else. A less spoken-of virtue or key to successful thinking is the ability to learn or gain a positive lesson from a failure or traumatic incident. Finding resilience from any loss or great setback is in the ability to learn what not to do and also learn what is accurate to do in the situation you found misfortune. When you can learn and apply your lesson, you will find the way to recovery and complete victory over trauma. Remember, healing from trauma takes time and patience, but that time limit depends on your desire to stop focusing on the bad and stay focused on the good in you and what you have to offer the world. Nothing that happened to you diminished your ability and purpose, so you must be dedicated to living the happiest life you desire. By building your self-esteem and gaining a deep understanding of yourself through self-discovery, you will gain undeniable self-confidence! You can reclaim your life and find joy and fulfillment by identifying your purpose and helping yourself! When you learn to love yourself, you will find healing from many mental ailments and physical pains. The vibration of self-love repels negative energy and encourages good health. These thoughts are not gained through external temporal states of happiness because they must continuously be renewed, exchanged, and replaced. These things can be taken away from you, and even the possession of them may be a threat to your life. Yes, you can have all you desire, however in the pursuit of what you want, be whole and complete from within, and don’t let the need to wait or even the absence of it change the way you feel about yourself. And if someone changes the way they feel about you because of your physical possessions or financial status, then you should cut ties with these persons, understanding they are temporal and might undermine you to get what you have. Second, you may want to consider therapy, either one-on-one or in a group setting. Please don’t go to your friends and family expecting them to provide the benefits of a therapist, it’s not fair, and it wont work out for the best. Talking to a trained professional can help you to process your emotions and work through the pain and trauma of your experience. They can also help you develop new coping strategies and skills to serve you well. But do not let them give you hope in pills to help you get out of doing the work you are responsible for in your recovery. Taking pills in a state of mental illness is imperative to balance any proven chemical imbalances of the brain. Creating harmony in the brain and body is necessary, but we all must aspire to take control of our minds, thoughts, and actions, in addition to medication. Speaking to a therapist should be safe and confidential, just be very careful in expressing negative emotions and the desire to carry them out. Truly consider using the feelings chart in expressing yourself with your therapist, so that you can express your why and get help in viewing your situation in a different perspective, from a non-biased party. Remember, the more work you do here, the easier it will be to express yourself, and maximize the benefits of therapy. People spend lots of money trying to discover how they feel in therapy because they haven’t used the power of independent thought to recognize their feelings on their own. When you go to your therapist with the emotional intelligence to express your feelings, your therapist can then advise you on the path of seeing your way to empowerment in thinking and responding to raise your vibration and create a better situation, relationships, and environments for yourself. If you are respectful and positively responsive, your therapist may even give you local resources to help you achieve your goals, and help you find new skills. When I truly started to take therapy seriously, I was a hot mess. I was so emotionally overwhelmed, my assigned therapist was afraid of me, she quickly sent me back to the head psychologist, who had to take on an extra day in the office just to see me and help me conquer the anxiety disorder, clinical depression and PTSD symptoms. I spent a good 15 minutes of every session cursing my therapist out simply because he asked me questions like, “How’s your mother doing?” or “What did you eat today?” It took me about a year or so to prove to the therapist that I had a lot of sense and even a wealth of intelligence, and that although I did have the capability to harm another, I did not have the interest in bringing others pain. I was so emotionally responsive I was irrational and like a boiling pot running over with a top on it, or a shaken up soda bottle, I exploded all over the place! Thank goodness for the therapist, he was strong in mind and spirit, and he eventually saw the benefit in working with me. So much so till I had to be honest about my sexual attraction to him so he’d understood why I had to stop going to see him. No matter what he did, he couldn’t help me get over my sexual addiction, that took something far greater. A therapist will work until they don’t and you need to understand when it’s time to take the tools you’ve gained and move on. The best thing about therapists is that they are in business to serve you when you need them, as you need them when you are capable of paying. Finally, it's important to practice self-care. This might involve exercise, meditation, journaling, or anything else that helps you to feel refreshed and rejuvenated. Caring for your body and mind sends a powerful message to yourself that you are worthy of love and respect. Of course this is one of my favorite sections, I am an esthetician and I love spa days, and daily at home regimens that care for the skin and body. I recommend everyones’ personal hygiene time be the time where you speak positive affirmations of optimal health and love to their physical bodies. Using the customized products developed for you by Victorious Esthetic Beauty Club will help you optimize your skin health routine, and feed your skin back to health in victory over problematic skin conditions that even play a role in attacking your self-esteem and positive self-image psychology. The reason I made up in my mind at 16 years old to own my own skincare line was because I hated the acne that plagued me. My skin condition gained my nickname “Rocky Mountain Forehead” as the new girl in the 7th grade in Denver Colorado. It’s what kept me from getting jobs and kept bosses harassing me when I worked for various beauty companies. It took me going to school for medical assisting and learning more about the nervous system that those bad nerves (or anxiety disorder and clinical depression) was directly connected to the problematic skin conditions I had. It was then when I realized I had to start taking care of my mind, so that the root of the the skin conditions could start to dissipate for me to have a chance of clear skin. When I realized using meditation and consuming less caffeine, and staying away from various allergens helped improve my skin condition without any products at all. Then learning how to improve the skin through natural ingredients, I was able to do what no other skin care brand could do! Trust me, I tried so many, and none has match up to my customized product using the knowledge, wisdom, and education I developed. When you are capable of mental peace through self-discipline of thought and act, you will find yourself confident in your skin’s appearance again. You will find yourself with less irritations, eczema breakouts, your hair will grow back, and you will be proud of your natural beauty! This discipline of mental health towards your beauty must be practiced through gratitude, action, and acceptance. The root of poor self esteem is in practicing comparison and not practicing the habits to achieve a goal. This is why the Victorious Way of approaching skin health works, we see problematic skin conditions as a challenge we are willing to gain the victory over with natural customized products, and doing the mental betterment work to help you achieve your skin health goals! In addition to our skin, we must do physical exercises, such as meditation, deep breathing, walking, and physical exercise to send positive energy throughout our body. Sitting still represents stagnation, and stagnation can yield illness. Physical movement can bring you healthier feelings and give you more energy. Stretching your body gives your joints and bones a chance to stay limber and keep your body useful to you for as long as you can! Dancing with your whole body, for the duration of a whole song, can bring joy and cheer up a sorrowful spirit. I have created a happy playlist for such motivation, and even a gospelrobics playlists on Youtube Music to combine praise and exercise music to improve ones mental and physical state of living! Your desire to exercise begins in your mind. If you spend more time loving yourself through physical exercise your body will love you back and feel better as it ages. The circulation of one’s blood, digestive system, lymphatic system is directly connected with the movements of the body! Taking care of my grandmothers as they have aged has taught me to enjoy my youth and do my best to preserve my body with the best practices of mental and physical health. They were plagued so much with depression from the past, it was hard for them to get the motivation to move and be active in their present state. Getting caught up in thoughts of if they did this different and that different. Laying in a bed of regret. If you stop thinking of regrets and think of what you desire to accomplish and complete, you will produce the energy to get things done. It is most important that you give yourself every reason to get up and get active, first positively in the brain, and then positively throughout your day! In addition to the outter beauty, we must take the time to do the betterment work to enhance the inner beauty to shine through the exterior. Our external beauty will never hide an ugly heart and dirty mind! We must perform the mental betterment exercises, yes, hours a day to cultivate positive thoughts and loving inspirations to build a healthy sense of self, and strong positive self-esteem, discover more about yourself, and do everything that makes you happy. If your everyday is not filled with the things that build your mental, physical, emotional, and financial health, you will find yourself in a state of depression again. Even in your job or school search, focus on things that make you happy, and that you enjoy doing and talking about. Don’t waste your time looking and applying for things you know you will hate or not want to do long term. Don’t listen to people who will tell you to settle. Set your mind on identifying your definite purpose, and find a way to express yourself by saying: I want to serve my purpose by doing this! Be willing to put all your effort into providing excellence and learning all you can to stand out and be a positive example. Do all you can do to build a positive name and reputation for yourself, for free, simply because it is what will build your sense of self and confidence. Dedicate yourself to your Divine Purpose and achieving your goals. Spend as little time being idol and indulging in negative or disruptive behavior, and most importantly, refuse to spend any time thinking of the negative things you’ve survived until you can only think back on the positive lessons you’ve learned. Make the conscious effort not to let any negative action towards you make you hurt or hate yourself or think you are disconnected from the Creator and Source of the Universe. Remember there are just as equal presence of positive as negative, and it takes your conscious efforts of positive thinking to identify the positive lesson and keys of success from them all! Thank you for listening, and I wish you all the best on your journey to healing and growth.
